I guess it's just that time of year! This is the third cruise ship to be delivered to be delivered in a month. First Symphony of the Seas, then Carnival Horizon, and now the all new Norwegian Bliss. Bliss was handed over to NCL yesterday in Bremhaven, Germany. Andy Stuart, president and CEO of NCL, made a statement about the delivery of their newest and biggest ship: "Norwegian Bliss is one of our most highly-anticipated ships to date, and today marks another exciting milestone for the newest and most innovative ship of our young and modern fleet."

The Norwegian Bliss comes in at a total of 167,800 gross tons, and can carry up to over 4,000 passengers at double capacity. She features 20 decks with 18 restaurants, and 12 bars and lounges. She boasts an outdoor laser tag course, two waterslides, and 13 waterfront bars and restaurants. Bliss also features a two deck go-kart track. This is the thing that everyone has been going crazy for on Bliss. She is the second ship in the NCL fleet to feature a go-kart track. However, Bliss' is bigger than Joy's. It happens to be 40% bigger than Joy's track. Another big attraction is the 20,000 square foot Observation Lounge. Now this is cool. I'm more excited about this than I am the go-karts. I would literally spend my entire cruise on this deck. It spans the entire front section of the ship. Why haven't they thought of this before?

The Bliss left Bremhaven yesterday for Southampton, where she will sail a transatlantic voyage to New York. She will then make her way to the west coast through the Panama Canal, where she will finally arrive in Seattle, Washington. Elvis Duran, godfather of Bliss, will then christen the new ship on May 30th.

From Seattle, Norwegian Bliss will sail 7 night cruises to Alaska during the summer, and Pacific Coastal cruises during the winter.

That's it. I believe this is the last ship delivery for a while! See you Monday for another "wonderful" blog. Until then, hit me up with a follow on Instagram and Twitter, and like my Facebook page!
