The Haven by Norwegian
The Haven is described by Norwegian Cruise Line as a hidden away at the top of the ship, luxurious, and well appointed with spacious accommodations. I can vouch from my personal experience that it's just that plus a little more. As a Haven guest, you get the perks of priority embarkation and disembarkation, the service of a concierge, 24/7 butler service, a private sun deck, a private restaurant (newer ships only), priority tender, priority dining, and Haven show time seating. The Haven offers a unique experience that you will never forget.
We've sailed in The Haven twice now, and will be returning for a third on the Norwegian Epic in March. We originally got hooked in 2012 when we took a cruise aboard the Norwegian Jewel from New York City, and sailed for a second time this year on the newly refurbished Norwegian Jade from Tampa. We had never experienced anything like the Haven when cruising, so it was a big change. Whether it was 1 AM and we wanted food, or 3 o'clock in the afternoon and we wanted a bridge tour, someone was always there to make our vacation even better. Not only that but we loved the private
courtyard. It was the perfect size. A huge plus of the courtyard is that it's calm, relaxed, and not crowded unlike the pool deck. It was our own little sanctuary where they brought us food and drinks from Cagney's anytime we wanted. It was like we were in Heaven for a weak.
We especially benefit from the low number of people and larger rooms, since we travel with a disabled family member. You can read more about that here. She does a better job navigating in open spaces with fewer people, which makes The Haven perfect for us. There is only one downside to this. Since The Haven is so expensive, we can only sail once every year. That's why when we do cruise, we always cherish every moment.
I highly recommend The Haven by Norwegian if you are looking for an extremely relaxing and calm getaway. It's an experience that you will never forget. You'll be sitting at work a week later and be wishing that your butler was bringing you a vodka tonic poolside in your own private courtyard. Once you sail The Haven by Norwegian, it's hard to go back.
