According to The Royal Gazette, a 41-year-old Pennsylvania woman was arrested last Monday before boarding Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas in Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda.

It is reported that authorities searched Meghan George because she was found with two bags of plantlike material in her purse while trying to board Anthem. They then proceeded to search her cabin and discovered three marijuana pipes, a grinder, and an electronic cigarette cartridge holding cannabis. The local police arrested George and fined her $4,000.

George’s lawyer, Bruce Swan, stated that she packed the drugs “without thought,” and didn’t know they were there until the ship arrived in Bermuda. She pleaded guilty to four counts of drug possession and apologized to the court. George was ordered to pay the $4,000 fine before leaving the country.

Don’t bring drugs on your cruise people. It never ends well.
