First Cruise Ship docks in Cuba in 40 years

On Monday May 2, the Fathom Adonia of Fathom Travel, a Carnival subsidiary, was the first cruise ship to dock in Cuba in over 50 years. The over 700 passengers aboard this cruise got to experience something amazing. They got to see how the embargo on Cuba effected the country. They got to see the old cars, buildings, and mostly, the old lifestyles.

However, the cruise didn't end as happily as it started, though. It turns out that there was a norovirus outbreak on the ship. Fourteen passengers reported norovirus like symptoms. It wasn't confirmed by Carnival, however it was believed to be the norovirus.

Fathom Travel was launched in April of 2016 by Carnival Coporation.
