Ovation of the Seas Christening
Three months after being launched into service in the U.K., Royal Caribbean christened there third Quantum Class cruise ship, the Ovation of the Seas, in June of 2016 in Tianjin China, before being transferred to Australia in six months. The Ovation of the Seas was the first Royal Caribbean ship to be christened in China, and also their first ship to have a Chinese Godmother. Her godmother is world famous actress Fan Bingbing. Fan Bingbing joined in on the tradition on breaking a bottle of champagne on the hull of Ovation. This tradition wishes good fortune to the ship and the passengers who sail on her.
Ovation of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world. She can accommodate 4,180 guests and 1,500 crew. She is designed to deliver an unforgettable vacation experience for guests of all ages.

Ovation features the North Star, which is unique to Royal Caribbean's Quantum Class cruise ships. The North Star is a glass ball that people can get in and be risen 300 feet above the ocean for breath taking views. She also feature the iconic Flow Rider found on most Royal Caribbean ships. Another cool new feature is the Ripcord by iFly experience. She also features basketball, bumper cars, and roller skating.
